CMO Staff

What’s the role

We are searching for a CMO Staff. A sharp, proactive operator who thrives in chaos and loves making things happen. This is not a traditional assistant role. You'll be the CMO's right hand: removing friction, driving accountability across teams, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. One day you're onboarding a new hire, the next you're synthesizing a cross-team project update, flagging a risk before it becomes a problem, or restructuring a workflow that's slowing everyone down. If you're the kind of person who instinctively spots what's broken and fixes it before being asked - this role was made for you.

Essential responsibilities you’ll own

  • Act as the CMO's operational nerve center: owning follow-ups, tracking task completion across teams, and sending reminders
  • Serve as the communication bridge between the CMO and the rest of the organization: translate priorities downward and surface key context, blockers, and risks upward.
  • Attend key meetings, capture decisions and action items, and ensure follow-through happens.
  • Identify inefficiencies in existing workflows and proactively propose or implement structural improvements.
  • Support the CMO's decision-making by preparing briefing materials, synthesizing information, and flagging anything that needs attention before it escalates.
  • Own onboarding logistics and coordination for new team members when needed.
  • Jump into ad-hoc projects across Amazon Marketing, Performance Marketing, and Creative teams - wherever bandwidth or clarity is needed most.
  • Manage internal project timelines and deliverables on behalf of the CMO, keeping workstreams on track.
  • Draft and update internal processes, communications, and documentation as needed.

Who are we looking for

You are results and bottom-line oriented, yet will possess deep appreciation and sensitivity towards people, culture, and values. You are "thick-skinned" and persistent. You are personable, smart, passionate, and optimistic. You possess a deeply pro-active, hands-on mentality. You hold yourself accountable and take great pride in your work – just like us. We're proudly diverse in our backgrounds, our accents, and our fiercely held personal passions. We are, in every sense of the word, independent, and not beholden to anyone else's agenda. So are you.

What will set you up for success

  • Demonstrate, evangelize and live the core values of DISRUPT.
  • Near-native fluency in English is a must. Fluency in Korean is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of marketing.
  • At least 3 years of professional work experience in a structured company environment, regardless of industry.
  • Prior experience at a marketing agency is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, startup-like environments where priorities shift and ambiguity is the norm.
  • Tech-savvy: comfortable with project management tools, communication platforms, and picking up new software fast.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced AI tools (e.g. Claude Code) is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and an almost obsessive attention to follow-through.
  • High emotional intelligence: able to read a room, manage up, and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Possess excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills.
  • Have the proven ability to work under tight deadlines and handle pressure, while consistently paying attention to accuracy and quality of work.
  • Possess and deliver excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to present thoughts clearly, accurately, and succinctly.
  • Possess and encourage high degrees of initiative, drive, energy, accountability, creativity and maturity.
  • Proven ability to quickly and effectively adapt to change and push forward.
  • Ambition to grow into a future marketing leader - if becoming a CMO one day is on your radar, this role will put you on the fastest path there.
