Today's beauty market is becoming increasingly competitive on the global stage. For skincare brands especially, we now live in an era where brand storytelling and high-quality video content have become key to building consumer trust. SKIN&LAB set out to strengthen its presence in this fiercely competitive global market and expand into the world stage by partnering with DISRUPT, a marketing agency that provides video content production services.
For this project, our goal went beyond simply showing off the product: we aimed to create a video experience that intuitively conveys the brand's philosophy and emotional identity. From the storyboard planning stage onward, we analyzed the target audience and global market trends, thinking deeply about which visuals and narrative would best express SKIN&LAB's "clean beauty" identity. This process went beyond simply lining up beautiful shots and focused on a strategic design that moves the customer emotionally.

According to marketing data, more than 80% of consumers form their first impression of a brand through video content. In the beauty industry in particular, visually and persuasively showing a product's texture, spreadability, and before-and-after results has a major impact on conversion rate. For this SKIN&LAB project, we used immersive motion graphics and macro photography techniques that let consumers feel as if they were experiencing the product firsthand.
Because the project targeted the global market, the key challenge was capturing a tone and manner that global consumers, not just Korean consumers, could relate to within the video content. To do this, DISRUPT analyzed global beauty trends and benchmarked successful global marketing campaigns to optimize the video's direction and editing.
One of the most important stages of the SKIN&LAB project was skincare video production. Because beauty products are, by nature, judged on how delicately the video captures the texture and color as it touches the skin and the visible changes before and after use, and because these details heavily influence a consumer's purchase decision, it was essential that the video capture them with equal delicacy.
DISRUPT's content team started from the storyboard and, from the pre-production stage before filming, carefully designed how to visually express the product's characteristics and the brand's message. We paid close attention to every technical detail, from lighting, camera angles, and lens selection to macro photography and slow motion. In particular, we made active use of state-of-the-art camera equipment and specialized filming techniques to vividly capture the subtle movement of skin texture and the feel of the product.
In the editing stage, we combined color grading with motion graphics to make SKIN&LAB's "clean beauty" image stand out even more. Natural skin tones and a fresh color palette elevated the brand's credibility and played a major role in drawing viewers into the video. Scene transitions and text animations also helped deliver the message effectively while keeping the video's overall flow smooth.
The result was a video that visually and persuasively conveyed SKIN&LAB's philosophy and values. It became more than simple product promotion, evolving into a core digital marketing strategy for building trust between the brand and its consumers.

SKIN&LAB's video content did not stop at being a "visual element" posted to YouTube or Instagram. As part of a global video content strategy, this content was designed as a core asset that simultaneously builds brand trust and lifts conversion rate in the global market.
DISRUPT did not stop at producing "great-looking videos." From the video planning stage, we designed an integrated digital marketing strategy that considered where the content would appear, to whom, and in what format. For this project, we analyzed each target country's beauty consumer insights along with local SNS content consumption patterns and content trends. As a result, we produced a short-form version, 15 to 30 seconds long, optimized for the U.S. market, and a mid-form version with more detailed usage explanations optimized for the Japanese market.
The finished videos then went through resizing and localization for each channel. Rather than simple translation, we used subtitles and narration that reflected cultural nuance to maximize resonance with global consumers. Through this, SKIN&LAB was able to effectively establish its identity as a "global beauty brand," not just a Korean one.
The video content was also actively used in global performance marketing campaigns. We produced separate ad-optimized edits and natural, organic content versions to maximize CTR (Click Through Rate), ROAS (Return on Ad Spend), and VTR (View Through Rate) across platforms such as Meta Ads, YouTube TrueView, and TikTok Spark Ads, and we continuously optimized ad performance through real-time A/B testing while campaigns were live.
In the end, this project went beyond simple video production to become a strategic asset that builds trust as a global brand and a central pillar of digital marketing. This kind of comprehensive content planning and marketing strategy is exactly what sets DISRUPT apart.

Today's consumers do not stop at "buying" a product; they want to "connect" with the philosophy and values of the brands they choose. This is especially true in the beauty industry, where how emotionally a brand's message lands has a major impact on purchase decisions. For this SKIN&LAB project, DISRUPT went beyond simple product promotion to build an emotion-driven content strategy aimed at forming brand fandom.
The core of this strategy is authenticity. Consumers place greater trust in brands that show themselves "as they are." To visually express Skin&Lab's brand philosophy, "clean skincare that awakens the skin's own power," we prioritized real skin texture, real users' expressions, and natural light over artificial staging. This kind of direction leads consumers to feel, "I want to trust and try that brand too."
Another key element is consistency in the brand message. Long-term brand recognition comes not from a single great video but from maintaining a consistent tone and visual identity across a series. DISRUPT planned a video series reflecting seasonal themes for SKIN&LAB and strategically placed it across SNS campaigns and the brand's YouTube channel.
Giving content a "story" was another essential element. Rather than a message like "this is a good product," we told the story of "what change this product can bring to your skin." To do this, we wove emotional music, whisper-like narration, and a warm color tone throughout the videos to establish SKIN&LAB's own identity.
Content produced this way is not limited to advertising; it expands into a brand asset. It gets reused across the website, exhibition booths, CRM content, partner pitches, and more, helping deliver a consistent brand experience to consumers. In the end, every piece of video content became a touchpoint for turning viewers into fans.

This global video project for SKIN&LAB went beyond simple content production. It was a journey of visually expressing the brand's philosophy and values while building trust with consumers. DISRUPT built a strategy that considered the global market from the planning stage and produced the videos with precision, helping SKIN&LAB position itself as a beauty brand expanding "from Seoul to the world." Going forward, this kind of authentic storytelling and strategic video content will continue to drive SKIN&LAB's growth as a brand that is loved in the global market.
