Creative
Reddit Marketing Intern
What's the role
We are searching for a Reddit Marketing Intern with a thirst to drive business results and growth for brands on one of the internet's most culturally influential platforms. In this role, you'll support our Reddit team on both organic community work (subreddit research, content seeding, AMA prep, upvote and engagement campaigns) and paid Reddit Ads operations (campaign setup, QA, reporting). You are proactive and independent in looking for solutions, eager to push beyond the nos, an effective communicator in Reddit-native English, patient, and a team player who genuinely enjoys spending time on Reddit.
Essential responsibilities you'll own
- Own Reddit marketing strategy for assigned client accounts, covering both organic community growth and paid Reddit Ads.
- Plan and execute subreddit strategy: identify relevant communities, build presence, run AMAs, seed authentic content, and manage upvote and engagement campaigns without tripping anti-spam signals.
- Build and manage paid Reddit Ads campaigns: audience targeting, bidding, budget pacing, creative testing, and conversion optimization.
- Write Reddit-native copy and briefs for creative. The kind that gets upvoted, not downvoted. Work with designers and producers on assets that don't feel like ads.
- Monitor sentiment, comment threads, and brand mentions across Reddit. Respond and intervene where it matters.
- Develop testing roadmaps that balance short-term performance with long-term community trust and brand health.
- Present results, share insights, and translate Reddit culture into strategic recommendations.
- Stay ahead of Reddit platform changes, moderator trends, and emerging subreddits relevant to our clients' categories.
- Build internal playbooks, benchmarks, and QA processes to help the practice scale.
Who are we looking for
We're looking for people who actually love Reddit and internet culture. People that wake up in the morning excited by new marketing and creative challenges. You are results and bottom-line oriented, yet will possess deep appreciation and sensitivity towards people, culture, and values. You are "thick-skinned" and persistent. You are personable, smart, passionate, and optimistic. You possess a deeply pro-active, hands-on mentality. You hold yourself accountable and take great pride in your work, just like us. We're proudly diverse in our backgrounds, our accents, and our fiercely held personal passions. We are, in every sense of the word, independent, and not beholden to anyone else's agenda. So are you.
What will set you up for success
- Native or professional English, with Reddit-native writing style. You should already use Reddit regularly and understand how the platform actually works.
- Genuine interest in internet culture, communities, and how brands win or fail on platforms like Reddit.
- Experience with Reddit Ads, social media marketing, content creation, or community management preferred. Personal projects absolutely count.
- Proven ability to quickly and effectively adapt to change and push forward.
- Demonstrate, evangelize and live the core values of DISRUPT.
- Incorporate the passion, excitement and experience in relevant ways that inform the quality and output of agency deliverables.
- Possess excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills.
- Have the proven ability to work under tight deadlines and handle pressure, while consistently paying attention to accuracy and quality of work.
- Possess and deliver excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to present thoughts clearly, accurately, and succinctly.
- Possess and encourage high degrees of initiative, drive, energy, accountability, creativity and maturity.
