Reddit Marketing Manager

What's the role

We are looking for a Reddit Marketing Manager to drive growth for top-tier Korean brands launching and scaling in the U.S. market. Reddit is one of the most high-signal, trust-driven platforms in culture right now, and we're building a strong practice around it. You will run both organic community strategy (subreddit seeding, AMAs, content drops, upvote campaigns, community partnerships) and paid Reddit Ads (targeting, bidding, creative testing, conversion campaigns) to move brands from unknown to loved. This role is for someone who already speaks Reddit fluently, thinks like a community member first and a marketer second, and knows how to turn niche subreddit attention into real business outcomes.

Essential responsibilities you'll own

  • Own Reddit marketing strategy for assigned client accounts, covering both organic community growth and paid Reddit Ads.
  • Plan and execute subreddit strategy: identify relevant communities, build presence, run AMAs, seed authentic content, and manage upvote and engagement campaigns without tripping anti-spam signals.
  • Build and manage paid Reddit Ads campaigns: audience targeting, bidding, budget pacing, creative testing, and conversion optimization.
  • Write Reddit-native copy and briefs for creative. The kind that gets upvoted, not downvoted. Work with designers and producers on assets that don't feel like ads.
  • Monitor sentiment, comment threads, and brand mentions across Reddit. Respond and intervene where it matters.
  • Develop testing roadmaps that balance short-term performance with long-term community trust and brand health.
  • Serve as the Reddit point of contact for clients. Present results, share insights, and translate Reddit culture into strategic recommendations.
  • Stay ahead of Reddit platform changes, moderator trends, and emerging subreddits relevant to our clients' categories.
  • Build internal playbooks, benchmarks, and QA processes to help the practice scale.

Who are we looking for

We're looking for people who actually love Reddit and internet culture. People that wake up in the morning excited by new marketing and creative challenges. You are results and bottom-line oriented, yet will possess deep appreciation and sensitivity towards people, culture, and values. You are "thick-skinned" and persistent. You are personable, smart, passionate, and optimistic. You possess a deeply pro-active, hands-on mentality. You hold yourself accountable and take great pride in your work, just like us. We're proudly diverse in our backgrounds, our accents, and our fiercely held personal passions. We are, in every sense of the word, independent, and not beholden to anyone else's agenda. So are you.

What will set you up for success

  • 1~3 years of experience running Reddit marketing, organic, paid, or both. Side projects, moonlighting, and meaningful personal accounts count if the work is real.
  • Deep, native-level fluency in Reddit culture. You know the difference between r/BuyItForLife and r/SkincareAddiction, you understand why most brand posts get buried, and you can smell a shill post from the title alone.
  • Hands-on experience with Reddit Ads Manager: creating campaigns, targeting subreddits and interests, managing bids, analyzing performance.
  • Strong copywriting instincts for Reddit: casual, direct, useful, no corporate voice.
  • Analytical mindset. Comfortable pulling performance data, identifying what's working, and rebuilding from it.
  • Native or professional English. You can write and comment in a way that passes as a real Redditor, not a marketer.
  • Agency, startup, or DTC brand experience preferred.
  • Bonus: experience with influencer seeding, Discord or community-led growth, or other high-trust community platforms.
  • Demonstrate, evangelize and live the core values of DISRUPT.
